It’s 7:15 and the sun is still present, waiting to set, allowing those who are stuck inside all day to get some of that last bit of sunshine.
The breeze is just right, softly blowing across your face as you’re walking home after a long shift. These are the rare summer evenings that make it worth suffering through all the humidity.

The lighting is also perfect for pretending you’re a professional photographer. The light hits the buildings just right for that Kodak moment.
I also love how many Pride flags are around Boston, especially on municipal buildings. I think they should leave these flags up all year, not just during Pride Month.
With that being said, I hope you always continue to support LGBTQIA+ businesses, not just for this month, but beyond.
Let’s get into Martini Fridays!
A Martini That’s On My Mind:
My algorithm knows exactly what will entice me, like this Caviar Martini from @calebscuisine.

It’s vodka, olive brine, vermouth mist, olives, caviar, crème fraiche and Boursin cheese. I will be trying this and blogging about it. Would you try this?
My Favorite Gin of the Week:
St Augustine’s Gin. Surprisingly, Florida has a great selection of gins. This one has a nice coriander and citrusy finish. I like using it for gin and tonics with a lime or up with a twist.
You can find more about it here.
As always, click here for our command vodka recommendations!

Music I’m listening to:
The Beaches, Blame My Ex

While this album came out in 2023, it has gained some traction this summer, especially with their music featured on the popular Prime dramedy Off Campus. Also, this LGBTQ+ band is perfect choice to round out Pride Month.
Their songs are all about relationships, so I imagine this album playing sitting outside with my girlfriends, sipping martinis, talking about our love lives.
I particularly love “Everything is boring”, and “Edge of the Earth”
Let me know your summer music recommendations!
My martini icon this week is…
The Porch Martini!
My goal is to have a martini on the porch as much as possible. Summer is going by fast, and we need to enjoy being outside every minute we can until it’s too late.

Other musings:
- Does anyone else have a “make up martini” when the one you’ve had out at a restaurant just, well sucks? Yesterday a reliable local restaurant made a pretty shitty martini. I regret not getting my $22 back. I had to remake one at home the next day to make up for it. Homemade martinis forever!
- I can’t wait to wear this shirt from my favorite T-shirt company, Super Yaki, when it arrives! I’ll be doing a full shoot for @verycoldverydry with a martini in hand. It’s sold out, but they have other amazing designs for cinephiles. Support small businesses!
- Martini-themed stationery is coming soon! I can’t wait to show you what I’ve designed.
- This bar in Brooklyn looks exactly like my vibe. The Martini on their menu looks so unique: Hepple Gin, Dassai 50 Junmai Daiginjo Sake, Lustau Blanco Vermut, house bergamot/pomelo tincture – So interesting! adding it to my must go to list!

Well, that’s all for this week. Send me a message, a comment below, questions…I’d love to hear from you! Enjoy your porch martini!
