You know what I’m going to say cures the sticky, sweaty and gross weather, A MARTINI. We all saw that one coming.
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’re doing something to treat yourself.
Again, you clearly know what I’m doing! So let me get my martini ready and let’s get into Martini Fridays!
A Martini That’s On My Mind:
I have been thinking about a Grill 23 Martini for weeks now. The iced rim, super cold gin and Britney olives sound perfect after a week of humidity. I’ll need to go after work one of these days and just get one!

My Favorite Gin of the Week:
Citadelle ! It’s clean, from France and perfect with a twist. I’m imagining I’m in Paris right now drinking one. To see our other recs, click here!

Music I’m listening to:
Rhye, Poolside Mix

I was introduced to this artist by my friend Leanna. It’s the perfect mix for laying by the pool with your martini (who has one of those in this economy?!) But a small porch or even sitting by an open window will suffice!
My martini icon this week is…
My father-in-law, Andy. It is his birthday month, so in honor of him, I think it’s the perfect time to add him to the very exclusive list. Whenever we make them, he just says “I’ll have whatever gin and garnish you’re having”. Well, I hope you get all the martinis you want this month, the way you want them!

Other musings:
- Portsmouth, NH is my new favorite place to just get away from the city for a day. They have so many shops, restaurants, and beautiful waterfront. What more do you need with only a 45 minute drive?! And the parking is only $2 an hour! Eat that Boston, charging $40 a day! We ate at a great Thai Restaurant called Bangkok Street. I want to try Cure next time for classic American food.
- I started watching ‘Hacks’ on HBO during cocktail hour. I’m only on episode 4 of season 1. Great, snappy one liners. The episode ‘Falling’ had a WILD twist. Also Deborah is a martini ICON.
- This print is so cute, I’d love to hang it somewhere near our glassware.
- I’ve been thinking about the logo for Very, Cold, Very Dry, and so inspired by line art, like how this cute print is drawn. Stay tuned!
Well, that’s all for this week. Send me a message, a comment below, questions…I’d love to hear from you! Cheers!
